Well made, functional tools are a joy to use and the backbone of every shop. The materials for our bookbinding and papermaking tools are carefully chosen for quality and matched to the design of the tool. Only high grade hardwood veneer plywoods and solid hardwoods, most of them grown and milled right here in the Adirondack Mountains and neighboring Vermont, are used.
9" between screws. 11-1/2"w x 4-1/4"h. 3-1/4" between cheeks when fully opened.

Travel Press
This small finishing press breaks down into just six pieces making it ideal for packing away for a workshop or other trip.
Even though I call it a travel press it's hard maple boards and 3/8" screws give it much of the functionality of a full size press. It would make a good choice for a second, auxiliary press or even as your only press if you mainly work on smaller books.
Requires a 9/16" wrench to operate. A ratchet and socket is the most convenient, but a box or open end wrench will do. Use your own or order the stubby ratchet below.
